Finally Picked it up on Saturday

Postby jmcbeth » Mon Aug 17, 2009 9:45 pm

Finally picked up my new 2010 Camaro at Tom Henry Chevrolet on Saturday. Tom, who was having a car show at the dealership, had my car under cover in the showroom for an unveiling. Carol and I drove there from MD and arrived at 1:30 PM. The unveiling was awesome and we then drove with 50 or so Camaros of all generations to Tom's farm where we had a picnic. Scott Settlemire, head of Chevy's Camaro team, was there, worked in the ktichen and hobnobbed with all of us.

Have pictures, but they are too big to post. Once I can find aprogram to resize them, I'll post.

I agree...I'm jealous too! As far a programs to use, try Irfanview. It's a free download and works great for resizing pics.

You're jealous Travis??? Nah I am. I keep seeing an SS in my future instead of an LT. Let's see lose the convertible top for 2 more cylinders?? Sounds like a good compromise to me. John POST PICS!

Drove it home from Pittsburgh, put 300 miles on it. Manual calls for 1,500 miles of break-in. Going nuts waiting!

Options include:

- 2SS
- Rally Sport Package
- Sunroof
- Manual transmission
- Upgraded Boston Acoustics sound system
- Polished wheels

Special Tom Henry mods include:

- special Tom Henry tag, Car #11
- Tom Henry Racing windshield decal
- Tom Henry Racing side emblems
- Tom Henry Racing rear emblem
- painted rally stripes, including over front valence and over rear spoiler
- painted side stripes
- Catback exhaust system with 3" tailpipes
- painted blackout tailpanel

Stripes are in Black Granite (black metallic)

Honestly John.. I don't know what to say... Words escape me at a time like this. I knew you were definitely getting one off the ordinary, but had I known you that would be going with a TH edition than at least I would have had time to think of the words to say.

Simply stunning and beautiful and I can not wait to see and hear her in person! Congratulations John!!!

I know what to say Steve. When do we get a ride John? Beautiful car. This may be a dumb question. I didn't see you getting a silver Camaro. Is this the original color you ordered?

Yes, it was always silver. Just thought with the right stripes it would look mean.

Thanks for the comments! Rides will be offered freely!

All the posts on forums by people who talk about what it is like driving down the road are true. I'd say more than half of the people you pass do a double-take or give you a thumbs up or blow their horn. It's awesome!
