Running with the 'Vettes

Postby tpiselli » Sat May 17, 2008 7:33 am

Since my Corvette is nowhere near road ready I drove the Z28 in the spring 2008 Skyline Drive Corvette Cruise. Even with the crappy weather they had about 43 cars show up with some folks coming from Jersey. The best part of the cruise is when we hit the switch-backs on Rt. 211 going up the mountain towards the national park. I kept up with the big dogs until my passenger (wife) told me "alright this isn't fun anymore; I'm gonna be sick" at which point I had to back down and watch about six cars pass me. Anyway, here's a couple shots:

OMG, how many times have I heard that from my easy to get carsick wife. When, we took the Skyline Parkway from Reonoke to Lexington, she couldn't handle the curves in my '99 Silvie. The sad thing. After 10 miles of Skyline drive in my PICKUP she was saying slow down. Can you imagine in the Maro??

Yeah, I wanna be in on this, too. Hopefully by then, I'll have a new job and I'll have some weekends off.

My "career" at AAP is being left behind when we move.
