Prayer Request

Postby tmurph01 » Tue Sep 22, 2009 3:24 pm

I just found out that a friend of mine is currently in a coma in Winchester Hospital after wrecking his 4-wheeler on Sunday. He was not wearing a helmet, flipped the atv into a mailbox, and landed on his head. They had to remove a portion of his skull due to his brain swelling and his vitals keep fluctuating. It does not look good for him, and they are saying that if he does come to, than he will probably be brain dead.

This friend also has ties to the club. If you go to the "epca pics" album and click on "Founding 5", he had the green LT1 that is pictured.

Please keep Dustin in your prayers.

Update from this morning.

They are going to start weaning him off of life support today to see what happens and if he will breathe on his own. They told the family there would definately be brain damage if he does come out of it.

I called Dustin's Dad's house after i got off work and i talked to his Grandfather and here is what i found out.

The took Dustin off the drugs that induced the coma and they are currently waiting for him to wake up. This can take atleast 3 to 4 days or a week or a month they dont know how long it will take.

He is currently at Whinchester Medical Center if anyone wants to visit him, they only allow 2 people back to see him at a time.

He also said that they really wont know more until he wakes up.

Is this the same guy with the forest-green LT1 with the convertible tan top? If so, I believe I actually referred him to the club.

No.. that is Erik. He works at WalMart and still keeps up with the club, but he has not been able to make anything.

Okay. I don't believe I've ever met Dustin. Thoughts go out to his friends and family.

Am I reading the blog right? It seems like Dustin is recovering nicely. Is he expected to recover fully?

Prayer works! How about taking up a collection in the club and making a donation to the upcoming fund raiser?
