I thought about bringing the Camaro, but in the end, I was just really hot yesterday and didn't want to deal with sitting in a car while it was 90+ degrees outside.
While I was at AAP there was a guy there that knew his way around cars pretty good, and we refilled my a/c system and injected that neon dye that shows leaks. The system doesn't have any leaks, so that's a plus. The problem is that the compressor isn't kicking over. I don't think it's hooked up, because I remember the engine builder saying something about the a/c system.
Does anyone know how to connect a compressor? It's a good chance that this is my problem. Once I have a/c in the Camaro, I'll be happy.
There is just so much work I need to do to that car that sometimes I just feel overwhelmed. I need the headliner/sun visor and seats reupholstered, I could use a new carpet, a new dashpad (mine is cracked), some power window mirrors that aren't dying, a front fender, a front clip, fog lights, shocks/struts, swaybars, bushings, exhaust tips, and a paint job.
....And then there are the other things that I don't really
need, but need. I need a new rear (my 10 bolt is weak), gears, high-rise intake, 52mm throttlebody, supercharger/turbo setup, cowl hood, rear spoiler, lower control arms, panhard rod, subframe connectors, and wheels/tires.
It's probably going to cost me
at least $10,000-$15,000 to finish this car.
