Washington County Car/Truck Show

Postby Mddhattr » Sun May 25, 2008 8:10 pm

Well, I just returned from the show. Man did I get sun-burned. I look like a lobster LOL. Well I guess I'm one for two. My truck didn't win. (I lost by 14 votes.) It's ok though, the winning truck was nice. My Camaro won first place in the 1980-2008 Car class. I was so shocked. I thought if anything I would win with the truck. I never thought about the car. Anyway, here are some pics.
The winner in the 1980-2008 trucks. Then mine.

If I cheated and went by the odometer....It's only 57K. BUT, when I went to Atlanta to pick it up, I hit the trip odometer for the trip home and it must have screwed something up but the odometer hasn't moved since. The speedometer works though. I think the actual mileage is close to 59K. I won't tell if you don't.

I have to give props to my fellow worker, Larry Toms. Think of this. You re driving a vehicle that is not owned by yourself. But stiill, you want to look good while you are working, The biggest thing for me the amount of work put into this truck. Look at the chrome. Almost all of the shiny you see is from chrome tape. Normally you would see chrome metal. I'm sorry but I'm impressed on the ingenuity Larry has put into his truck.
Sadly, he was way outclassed by an independent owner of an awesome big truck But, let's give Larry his props.

the only reason that ford placed ahead of you is because he is scared to actually use his truck as a truck. lol i think the big rig that won was at the diesel drags at mason dixon last fall. its a pretty sharp truck.
