Old School 80 Z

Postby 80z28406 » Mon May 12, 2008 7:18 pm

My Z started out as a mess. It was all dented up. The one quarter was bashed in. The interior was torn up. There was a set of gears on the back seat. Z28 was burned into the center console. But, it was a 4spd car and it came with a sb 400. Well, 8 years and who knows how much money later it is pretty cool. The 400 has 4340 everything, splayed caps, forged psitons, CSI water pump, aluminum flywheel, AFR 210 heads, 638/667 solid roller and a Tremec TKO. It needs a 9 inch and a cage to be about done. It runs 11.60's at 121 on pump gas, no power adder and through the mufflers. If I could lauch it hard (10 bolt inside, broke it once already) with the MPH it should be low 11's or somewhere in the 10's.

Cool man! Now you'll need some sticky tires. :) Yeah, thanks about my car. You throw enough time and money (mostly money) at them and something good is bound to happen. I love driving it. It's a blast!

Dude, that rocks! "Never lost a race." That's awesome. I was going to come up with another story but I can't top that. I know what I'll be doing this winter. Racin' in the garage baby! "And the winner in the far lane crossing the line at 10.40 at 129 Mph..." The car is alot faster in the garage and it's got a Fab 9 nine inch and a roll cage... And Jessica Biel in the passenger seat screamin' "faster Darren faster! 8)
