Welcome to the site. I don't believe this forum has the ability to upload pictures, so I'd suggest creating an account on Photobucket (if you don't have one already) and then linking the pictures here within your posts.

Hey, man! Glad to see you made it to the forums!

Sorry I didn't have a chance to check out your car, but I'm sure I'll get the chance at one of the shows or at one of our meets!

From what I saw out the window, it was a really hot Camaro! The dark green and tan combo is one of the nicest ones out there IMO. If I recall correctly, it was also quite a low-mileage example with around 55,000 miles on it?

BTW, my real name's Dan. If you're also interested in cars besides Camaros, I have a forum that you can feel free to join. Just hit up www.forum.topspeedautogroup.com. Everyone is welcome, regardless of the make/model of car that he/she owns.

Thanks Dan, and yeah it does have really low mileage with 59,000. I need to get my other car fixed so i can stop putting as many miles as i have been lately though.

Yeah, you definitely wanna keep it low-mileage! Did it turn out to be the optispark you were having problems with?

Yes it was the opti sprak. Ive gotten it fixed already though and it runs so much better. I wish it was louder though. There are so many things i wish i could do to my car but i cant, maybe one day though.

So does anyone know how bad it is if my car ticks when its cold but then once it warms up its fine? or what it is?

I know it is normal for the LS1's, but unfortunately I don't have much experience with LT1's... Maybe Tyler or Dan can chime in... I would say it is normal though...

I guess I'd probably have to hear the ticking to know what you're talking about. It could just be the rocker arms. Hearing some "ticking" is normal. "Knocking" isn't so normal.

I have off from work today (After 12am so it's 12/31), so if you're not working later, if I have time I can meet up with you, then check out your car and see what this "ticking" noise you're hearing really is.

Also, if you're looking for a loud car, look no further than a set of Hooker long-tube headers. The only downside to them is that they hang low and scrape on bad speed-bumps and when going up some curbs. I wouldn't recommend lowering the car if you're running long-tubes.

My car's pretty loud. I have the Hooker 3" cat-back exhaust, Hooker longtube headers, and Hooker y-pipe. It sounds really awesome. I'm sure the neighbors love it.

Dans car does have a nice sound,.. but so does Tyler's, Brandons, Dave's, and Jimmy's.

Tyler(LT1) Has longtubes and a Borla exhaust
Jimmy(Lt1) Currently has a cut-out on the I-pipe
Brandon(LS1) Has Longtubes and a cut-out on the I-pipe
Dave(LS1) Has Longtubes with cut-outs after each header... loudest IMO

I'm sure with the cut-outs open Dave's car is probably louder than mine is. I've never heard it, but I can't imagine it's much different than running open-header. The LS1s also have a nice "crack" to'em when there's a real non-restrictive exhaust tied to'em. I also get that with my LT1, but probably because I'm running catless.
