WOW what a full 4 days. Did anyone make it up? I'm almost glad I wasn't judged considering the amount of nice trucks made it. BTW, I found a Blazer that has more lights than me. And I mean a LOT more lights than me. Here's a few pics of my display in Building Z. When I upload the other pics I'll post some of them later. They gave us a really cool metal display plaque to place in front of the trucks.

Also, I spent a little money out there on the truck. I stopped by Cervini's display and bought a new hood. Now I can look like Zach. Seriously though, I need help. I need to find a truly good painter. This hood needs to be baked then sanded and worked before painting. If anyone knows someone good let me know. I don't mind spending money on a good job. I'm not talking a grand , but $500?? or less.

When it comes to automotive painting.. the only place around that I would trust is Big K's. They do excellent work!

Truck looks amazing Paul, you can deffinately see the detail you spent so much time doing!

Absolutely stunning. I don't know, you might want to put that truck in the trailer and tow the trailer with the Camaro...

Did you win anything?

Nah, didn't win anything. Since i was an Invitational Display, they left us out of the the competition. I would say the honor of being a "display" is worth the trip. Actually I agree, I wasn't there checking out the public's interest all weekend long, but the short interaction with the crowds I did have was a total mind-blower. It was funny, the vendor across from me made show boards and had a great display of my truck on they're main table. It was funny seeing people looking at the picture, then turning around and seeing the truck and then saying..... Hey, that's that truck.
I will say I'm proud of my truck, but, to see people react to it after seeing all of the great build-ups??? Wow, talk about humbled.
I know I sometimes ramble on about the truck. But this week has taught me that this isn't a competition, it's about sharing a love of cars and expressing one's self though a car.

Paul,

A very wise observation. That's why it is so important for club members to take an interest in other people's cars. It demonstrates an interest in people, a key value of any good club.
